First choose the substrate you will be working with: do you want a gauge for ferrous metals (steel and cast iron), non-ferrous metals (aluminum, copper, etc.), or a gauge that can be used on both types of metals. Next choose the thickness range of the coatings you will measure: mil thickness ranges are shown in a row below the available models. Different probes styles are available for tight spots and hard to reach areas. Final criteria is your choice between the standard model or the advanced features model.
