Coating thickness gauges
Rugged, fully electronic coating thickness gauges use magnetic and eddy current principles to measure coating thickness on both ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Simple, ready to measure gauge. No calibration adjustment required for most applications. Enhanced one-handed menu navigation. Flashing display is ideal in a noisy environment. RESET feature instantly restores factory settings. All gauges come complete with precision plastic shims, protective rubber holster with belt clip, wrist strap, 3 AAA batteries, instructions, nylon carrying case with shoulder strap, protective lens shield, Certificate of Calibration traceable to NIST, USB cable, and two (2) year warranty. Conforms to ISO 2178/2360/2808, PrEN ISO 19840, ASTM B499/D1186/ D1400/D7091/E376/G12, BS3900-C5, SSPC-PA2 and others.
Please paste this url http://www.defelsko.com/p6000/PosiTector6000 into your browser for a pdf showing a more complete description of these gauges. (We are currently working to make this a hyperlink.) The ordering guide chart on this pdf helps you select a gauge for your application. First choose the substrate you will be working with: do you want a gauge for ferrous metals (steel and cast iron), non-ferrous metals (aluminum, copper, etc.), or a gauge that can be used on both types of metals. Next choose the thickness range of the coatings you will measure: mil thickness ranges are shown in a row below the available models. Different probes styles are available for tight spots and hard to reach areas. Final criteria is your choice between the standard model or the advanced features model. Additional technical support is available for further explanation.
Coating thickness gauge
22 different gauges are available with either standard or advanced features. Please use the pdf link above for a more complete description of available gauges. The two gauges listed below are designed for measuring non-magnetic, thick protective coatings up to 1/2" thick (0 - 500 mils) on ferrous metals (steel and iron).
